This policy explains how Nova uses cookies and browser storage, which technologies are essential, and how you can control optional analytics. Nova is operated by Zac Cameron-Webb trading as Nova. For questions, email support@studynova.me.
Essential cookies and storage
Nova uses essential storage to provide the service, protect your account and remember interface choices. Nova does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. First-party public-page analytics remains off unless you select “Allow analytics”.

localStorage interface and recovery data | Remembers appearance and workspace-layout choices, an onboarding dismissal, recent study navigation and temporary account-scoped recovery copies of writing and saved conversations on this device. | Writing and conversation copies expire after 7 days and are cleared after successful logout or account deletion. Before intentional cleanup, Nova offers save, download or discard. Interface choices remain until changed or site data is cleared. |

Optional analytics
Optional analytics stays off unless you give consent. If allowed, Nova records first-party landing, pricing, call-to-action and registration-start events without academic content, full URLs or cross-site tracking. Declining or withdrawing consent does not affect essential account or study features.
Product-update email consent is separate from analytics consent. Creating an account, signing in with Google, accepting the Terms of use or continuing to use Nova does not count as consent to analytics or marketing.
Other services
If you follow a link to Google sign-in or Stripe-hosted checkout, you move to that provider’s service. The provider may use its own essential storage under its policy. Nova does not embed advertising trackers from those services on Nova pages.
Your controls
You can clear Nova site data in your browser. Clearing sessionid signs you out. Clearing csrftoken causes Nova to issue a new security token when needed. Clearing browser storage resets saved interface choices and may remove an unsaved recovery draft.
